I suppose this has all been too much to ask for: hope.
And yet, with a 13-9 record heading into Philadelphia -- not to mention a seven game win streak and a 9-1 and home-stand just completed -- it's kind of hard not have to have some hope about this 2010 Mets' team.
Oh granted, it's far from perfect and every game Manager Jerry Manuel does somethin

When you watch the Mets, it gets hard to take in all the things that seem to happen to this team and while it would be easy to pontificate about the Jose Reyes saga or how quickly Jerry Manuel or Omar Minaya will get fired, maybe, it’s just healthiest to let it go and focus on baseball stuff.

The facts are pretty clear: Beltran and the Mets thought the k

Let's -- for a minute -- set aside any discussion about frustration with the Mets' ownership, ballpark and what-have-you. On this frozen mid-January day, let us just consider the Mets' offseason and roster shaping -- where things stand and where they might be going.
Mets' GM Omar Minaya waited out Jason Bay and signed him to a pricey but not insane
