Admit it: you'd have been pleased as punch if you were promised the Mets would be a mere one-game out of first going into this series after Carlos Beltran went down. And while June was rugged, July seems to be off to a better start. This weekend should tell us a lot about two struggling teams and which one -- if either -- is the team to beat come September.
