For the past 9 years or so, I've been an out of market Mets fan due to being a college student in rural Virginia and then as a young professional in the Washington, DC metro area. Both places are OK, but I yearn for the halcyon days of locally televised Mets games and their associated pre and post game shows.
Having never advanced past the upper little league levels of organized baseball, I have been living vicariously through the exploits of the Metropolitans since the glory days of Keith Hernandez, Mookie Wilson and Butch Huskey.
When I'm not wasting my employers time looking up baseball related minutiae on the cyberweb, I idle my time watching SNL-skit based motion pictures, watching DragonForce videos on Youtube, and writing Robocop fan fiction.
I also hate the Atlanta Braves with the venom of a thousand deadly cobra snakes riding a giant spider covered in hemlock.
