It's the day before our official debut here at FU. And I'm just so excited I can't hide it. (Hmm, where did I hear that before?), We've got a bunch of cool features to keep you, our students happily filled with Mets News and more.... This feature is what we call our FU Lecture Series. It will be a daily review of the blogosphere.

Typically, we expect to recap our postings from our own on site Flushing University Faculty members weekly. But as a first, I'll post what we've done to date. Look for this roundup weekly.
Evan Pritchard writes a piece on Why the Mets Had to Dump Steve Traschel, including in great detail his last appearance as a Met. This is something we'd all rather forget, but Evan reminds us why its a good thing he's pitching in the other league in 2007.
Mike McGann gives us a peek ahead into our probable starting rotation of Glavine plus four in Pitching Whew.
Matt Himmelfarb provides an incite into our Aussie prospects in Mets Stay on Top By Going Down Under. He makes a strong case for Australia providing an largely untapped resource for MLB.
Shari Forst from Most Valuable Network's Take the 7 Train writes about this disappointing offseason in What Do We Think About 2007?
Johnny Lowe, shares with us his insight into Being Anderson Hernandez and that spring 2007 may be his last chance at a legitimate shot at second base for the Mets.
Also, a usual daily feature, but for today will take a peek at our other FU Faculty that have provided their lectures on their own blogs recently.
Over at Take the 7 Train Shari Forst's take on the Chan Ho Park signing... is that she's not totally sold on the idea and is worried about the impact on the Mets' young pitchers and amazed at the price of mediocrity.
Along at Mets Fan Blog Dana Brand is looking forward to a real Phillie-Met rivalry for a change...

Brooklyn Mets Fan Hails the Arrival of spring training. He has some interesting info on Pedro and on David Wright. Check it out!!
Anthony DeRosa over at Hot Foot posts an interesting letter he received from Omar Minaya. Thanks for sharing with us, Anthony.
Hot Stove New York has a small piece on our young guns. Warning, this site has an Evil Empire section, so I've linked directly to the Mets section. So be very careful when browsing this site.
Dan Ziegler of LoneStar Mets discusses the Chan Ho Park signing with some Texas anecdotes. Great to have you on board Dan, can you send me some Texas BBQ?
John Mackin Ade of Macks Mets Notes in his daily postings talks about the College Draft as well as another piece discussing Paul Lo Duca's contract status. Way to give us multiple posts John.
Metsgrrl has a few short posts this week, including a not so flattering picture of David Wright on the cover of Player's Magazine. C'mon David, can't you afford a razor?
Mike Steffanos of Mike's Mets writes about many of our 5th starter options in the Mets rotation for 2007. Also, Joyce Mandelkern, a self-described pessimist writes about her cautious optimism for the upcoming season.
Kyle DeBussey of Mets Prospects wrote a nice short bio of 20 year old first baseman prospect Mike Carp over the past week.
Mets Walk-Offs gives us a piece appropriately about Greg Harts, a little known but appropriately named Met for Valentine's Day
Metsquire made our list here, but seems to be currently on sabbatical. Maybe we will hear from him soon.
