Flushing University Lectures for Monday 4/16

Posted Monday, April 16, 2007

Sunday may have been a washout, but our FU BlogProfessors have a lineup of lectures available for your perusal today.

* * *

Dana Brand of Mets Fan Book reminds us of Opening Days in the past including the Return of The Franchise and the introduction of an interesting mascot.

Joe Janish of Mets Today has the recap of El Duque's monthly implosion from Saturday.

Taryn "The Coop" Cooper of My Summer Family has the week two review of the Mets. (Never heard Reyes referred to as Sugar Pants anywhere else)(*). "The Coop" always has something witty to say. And she reminds y'all to check out her Tuesday piece right here at FU.

John Coppinger of The Musings and Prophecies of Metstradamus thought the days that Nats beat up the Mets (with 70's and 80's on their backs) was over. But apparently not, as he brings us some words about Saturday's meltdown of El Duque.

Shari Forst of Take The 7 Train provides the recap of Saturday's 6-2 loss against the Nationals.

(*) Correction. The Coop has brought to my attention that Sugar Pants should be attributed to Mike Oliver of The Metropolitans

Bloggers: think you've written something that belongs here, send me a note at garyg@flushinguniversity.com and we'll take a look. During the season, I will be posting thrice weekly. Of course, all of our BlogProfessors — those who write for us regularly — will be featured in this space regularly.
