Joe Janish of Mets Today writes about Willie's controversial move regarding PHing Marlon Anderson instead of Ramon Castro in the 7th on Saturday night and the Astros acquiring one old Met favorite for another former Met. Catch Joe's daily recaps of the Mets games and his column Fridays right here at FU.

Taryn Cooper of My Summer Family thinks Beltran should either be DL'd or play. Otherwise he's just taking up a roster spot. She's even threatened to increase her drinking (watch out). The Coop writes for FU every Tuesday.

Ed from Westchester of The Blue, Orange and Green Cafe goes on about Media Rants and disses Keith H from complaining about dugout celebrations. Ed writes for FU every Tuesday.

Kevin Collazo of Shea Faithful writes about Oh Pea's tough loss last Thursday and Glavine's win #299. Kevin writes for FU every Wednesday and Sunday.

FU Faculty

Jaap Stijl of Archie Bunker's Army recaps El Duque's Sat afternoon win against the Nats.

Brooklyn Mets Fan thinks Willie got caught with his pants down in Sat nights loss against the Nats.

Dan Lerner of Hot Foot notes that David Newhan is back and Jon Adkins has been sent out. I can't make any sense of all these moves but Dan can, so head over there any maybe you can follow them. Injury Update: MRI reveals Beltran has fluid buildup and likely to go on DL. Lo Duca likely to return to action on Tuesday.

Ed Ryan of Mets Fever discsses the latest rumors regarding Twins second baseman Luis Castillio, who may or may never get traded to the Mets.

Metsgrrl writes of her experience attending Merengue Night at Shea on Friday. Coop and MG are off to a short roadtrip to Milwaukee and Chicago later this week. Have a safe trip, and let us know how it goes.

Joseph DeCaro of MetsMerized Online reports that the Braves are close to announcing a blockbuster deal including Mark Texiera.

Mets Walk-Offs has a quiz centered around the Hall of Fame. (At least he also includes the answers).

Jeff Brohel of Metsquire does not want to part with young players for washed up vets at the deadline. He just wants the young kids to get some playing time and experience. He is not high on the prospects for the 2007 team, and so would rather give time to the kids.

Mike Steffanos of Mike’s Mets doesn't know what to make of the Met team right now..."They're not really terrible, but not particularly good.."

Cheddar Ben of Yankees 2000: Promote the Curse thinks Joe Smith's trip to New Orleans is to give him some rest and relaxation, so he can get strong for the stretch drive.
