Fans will enjoy a whole lot more than just America’s Pastime when they walk through the gates of NYSEG Stadium for Binghamton Mets home games this season. Energized by the addition of a video scoreboard, the B-Mets will host 71 different “SHOWS” unlike any others in the team’s first 15 years.
To keep pace in the highly competitive entertainment industry, the B-Mets have charted a promotional schedule to attract all ages in the Greater Binghamton market regardless of their level of interest in the game of baseball. There is something for everyone, and the team’s new rally cry is “Wanted: Stars for Our Show.” Fans will be the stars of the B-Mets shows. With four cameras covering the action on the field and in the grandstands, all those in attendance will end up on the video screen that measures 15 feet tall by 34 feet wide.

B-Mets fans love fireworks, and the Toyota Fireworks Series delivers 24 post-show displays. The traditional weekly specials like 2-for-1 beverages, CDPHP Friends & Family 4-Packs and Cost Cutters Kids Eat Free dates will continue to make a trip to the ballpark even more affordable than ever.
Minor League Baseball leads all sports in creating innovative and even zany entertainment on top of the competition on the field, and the B-Mets will take this to an unprecedented level locally both in terms of promotions and in-game entertainment. The dawning of the video era at NYSEG Stadium will make this philosophical shift possible.
The mammoth video screen enables the team to effectively add new dimensions to all shows with the ability to feature appropriate video clips and graphics that match the promotion. Fireworks and other nights will now include different themes such as Friday the 13th Superstitions, Jimmy Buffett Margaritaville, Star Wars, Casino, Mardi Gras, Pirates, Polka and more. Popular characters like Bugs Bunny, Spiderman, Pink Panther, the Super Heroes, Clifford the Big Red Dog, the Cat in the Hat and others will join Buddy the Bee and Ballwinkle to the delight of young and old.
Other home shows will lean toward humorous fun with a Moustache Monday, Toga Tuesday, Nerds, Red Necks, Pay What You Weigh, Ridiculous and Super Splash Day. Entertainment acts like the Amazing Christopher known nationally for his unique portrayal of the Village People, Myron Noodleman, musician Tom Watt, Christian band Hawk Nelson, professional wrestler Mick Foley and the final appearance ever by The Blues Brothers at the home of the B-Mets will enhance the atmosphere when they perform.
Even the players will get into the act with special edition jerseys for Breast Cancer Awareness Day (Pink), Memorial & Independence Day (Stars & Stripes), Halloween in July (Orange/Black) and St. Patrick’s Day in August (Green). The team will also wear distinctive socks on Dr. Seuss Day.
Quality giveaways like pink caps, adult t-shirts, David Wright bobbleheads, sunglasses and B-Mets hats are scattered throughout the home schedule. Other shows will feature tributes to local students, athletes, Special Olympians, America’s military and other worthy groups.
The entire promotional calendar is listed on the team’s pocket schedule available for the first time today. The B-Mets will continue to add events throughout the season and all promotional dates are subject to change. For more information, contact the B-Mets at (607) 723-6387 or visit www.bmets.com.
