Peterson Signs Deal
[Feb. 3, 2007] Mets' pitching coach Rick Peterson signed a three-year extension, while coaches Guy Conti, Sandy Alomar, Rick Down, Tom Nieto and Jerry Manuel all signed two-year deals. Howard Johnson, who replaces Manny Acta, now managing the Nationals, got a one-year deal.

[Feb. 3, 2007] While the Mets announced the signing of Ruben Sierra to a minor league deal, pitcher Jason Standridge said he would reject a minor league assignment and become a free agent.
