Phoenix Az – With the absence of Orlando Hernandez the Mets have decided to bring up yet another project in the form of Jorge Sosa for Saturday evenings game against the Arizona diamondbacks.

The 30 year old has been pitching well for the AAA New Orleans Zephyrs, having compiled a 4-0 record and 1.13 ERA in five starts and 32 innings. Sosa needs to be added to the 25-man roster, and Ambiorix Burgos has been sent down to New Orleans as a result. Chan Ho Park also said that he would accept assignment to the minor leagues.

Jorge Sosa has a 27-40 career record. That included winning 13 of 16 decisions in 20 starts with the Braves in '05.
