Mets vs. Braves
7:00 p.m.
Turner Field
SNY, WFAN, MLB.TV
Well, the second half begins tonight. The Mets are still injured and 6 1/2 games out. Is hope on the way?
All-Star Break
This is when everyone is supposed to return. Or not...but Jose Reyes is running and Carlos Delgado is hitting...well, maybe no one gets hurt at the All-Star game.

Mets vs. Reds
1:10 p.m.
Citi Field
SNY, WFAN, MLB.TV
Well, they won and even got an extra-base hit. With one last game before the All-Star game (you remember, that's when everyone was supposed to be back) can the Mets manage their first home run in more than 70 innings? It makes you miss Steve Henderson.

Mets vs. Reds
Citi Field
7:10 p.m.
WPIX, WFAN, MLB.TV
Well, they have a new rightfielder, but the same old problem: no offense. Can Jeff Francoeur make a difference?

Karma is a bitch, man.

Oliver Perez is the cavalry. This should go well.

Mets vs. Dodgers
Citi Field
7:10 p.m.
SNY, WFAN, MLB.TV
Combine an anemic offense, shaky starting pitching and so-so relief and what do you get? Indigestion. Toss in boneheaded defense and it's Malox time. Hopefully, they'll starting selling those $7.75 Malox cups at Citi.

Mets vs. Phillies
Citizens Banks Park
1:35 p.m.
WPIX, WFAN, MLB.TV
Somewhere, there's baseball that's fun to watch. It just hasn't involved the Mets lately. Santana goes today and if he flames out, it could be a long summer.
July 4, 2009
Mets vs. Phillies
Citizens Bank Park
4:05
FOX, WFAN
Just as Livan Hernandez seems poised to do his annual second half swoon, Oliver Perez is....pitching so-so in AAA. That won't deter the Mets from bringing Perez up to pitch against Manny and Dodgers on Wednesday to replace the equally awful Tim Redding. John Maine? Not even close. But keep an eye on Jon Niese, who after a brutal start in AAA really seems to have it dialed in.
Happy Fourth of July!
July 3, 2009
Mets vs. Phillies
Citizens Bank Park
7:05 p.m.
SNY, WFAN, MLB.TV
Admit it: you'd have been pleased as punch if you were promised the Mets would be a mere one-game out of first going into this series after Carlos Beltran went down. And while June was rugged, July seems to be off to a better start. This weekend should tell us a lot about two struggling teams and which one -- if either -- is the team to beat come September.
In case you missed them
